SALT
We run a mad and crazy youth group to enable young people to meet and socailise, and begin to explore Christianity in a safe and good fun environment.
SALT is for school years 7-13 and runs on a Friday Night from 7.00-9.00pm at Open Door Church Centre.
Young people gather to both have fun and socialise. This new group is about building friendships and running projects that the members choose for themselves.
SALT ON SUNDAY
Want to take a closer look at Christianity and what it means in practice for you? Try SALT on Sunday.
Every Sunday
At Sunbury Manor School (but see exceptions
here).
SALT on Sunday is a session for school years 7-10 that runs alongside the main meeting in the foyer from 11.15am to 12.20pm.
It is an opportunity for young people to be able to find out more about the Christian faith in an informal small group setting. If you have
any questions or want to talk about anything, that is great, else just come along and see what others are saying.
NEWDAY
Newday is one of the largest Christian events for young people that takes place in the UK every year. Young people aged right
through their teenage years and on into their early 20’s join together from churches up and down the UK and Europe
to learn about and worship God, camp out together, soak in the summer festival feeling, leaving Newday further along in their
relationship with Jesus.
Since launching in 2004, Newday festival now welcomes more than 6,000 young people each year to the Norfolk Showground
near Norwich in the UK.
For more details, see the
Newday website.
Initially formed to serve the Newfrontiers network of churches the event now attracts groups from all denominations and
backgrounds, whether from the inner city or rural settings the festival has an incredible diverse flavour.
