THE ALPHA COURSE

Starting Wednesday 2nd October 2019 at ODCC
Explore the meaning of Life

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life from a Christian perspective in a relaxed setting over nine thought-provoking weekly sessions.
Each session begins with a meal.

There is then a short talk, which looks at a different aspect of the Christian faith each week, for example “Can I trust the Bible?” and “Who is Jesus?”.

This is followed by a time of discussion in small groups, where everyone is welcome to contribute their opinion, ask questions and discuss with the rest of the group.

Its not too late to join! Please contact the church office to book your place.

CONNECT FESTIVAL

27th – 31st August 2020
The Royal Bath & West Showground

Connect Festival, previously Westpoint, is an event for the Commission family of churches; enabling and encouraging them to live life fully and fruitfully for Jesus.
We’ve had an amazing 10 years at Westpoint, but it’s time to open the page on a new chapter for us as Commission, building on all that has come before.

Join us for the first time in a new location as we come together, to connect with God, to connect with one another, and to connect with God’s global mission.

NEWDAY 2020

Newday is one of the largest Christian events for young people that takes place in the UK every year. Young people aged right through their teenage years and on into their early 20’s join together from churches up and down the UK and Europe to learn about and worship God, camp out together, soak in the summer festival feeling, leaving Newday further along in their relationship with Jesus.
First launched in 2004, Newday festival now welcomes more than 7,000 young people each year to the Norfolk Showground near Norwich in the UK.

Initially formed to serve the Newfrontiers network of churches, the event now attracts groups from all denominations and backgrounds, whether from inner cities or rural settings. The festival has an incredible diverse flavour.

For more details, see the Newday website.

Newday 2020 takes place from Monday 3 August - Saturday 8 August

The first meeting is in the evening on Monday 3 August and the last in the evening on Saturday 8 August. You have to leave the site by midday on Sunday 9 August, so there’s plenty of time to pack up your tent.
